To the official website of the Dynamic and Historic South Central Region of National Women of Achievement, Incorporated, the birthplace of our organization. National Women of Achievement (NWOA) is a non-profit organization of women committed to promoting community service, developing the potential of women, and to improving the community through our National Thrusts: Youth and Young Adults, The Status of Women, Senior Citizens, Political Awareness, and the Assault on Illiteracy.
The South Central Region was organized in September 1985 in Houston, Texas. Our geographic area spans the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
From its inception, the South Central Region has been committed to enhancing the quality of life and to impact the communities with programs that encompass our National Thrusts: The South Central Region is committed to community service, maintaining high moral and ethical standards, and encouraging individuals, young and old, to strive for excellence.
